Save the Date!! Saturday, October 1st will be our Store Grand Opening!!

Yes, that's right! We'll be opening our store in October. We're still in the beginning stages so feel free to check back here for updates, pictures and progress!

9/17 - We're slowly but surely getting there! My husband and brother started on the flooring today and I LOVE it!! We're also getting around to actually changing the signage outside so that it will say Fluff Envy - yay!!

9/14 - Just put in my "order" for the outdoor signage. I think once those are up and installed it will finally start to feel like MY store. Seems weird to be working on a store right now that says "American Family Insurance - David Lopez" out front!!

9/13 - No new pictures....nothing too exciting done. Trim is being painted (I've decided that I HATE painting plain white - it's so boring - ha!!). Phone and internet is hooked up and working. New phone number for the store is 847-931-9105....although I don't actually have a phone there yet. Gotta add that to my to-do list. Next big project to is install the flooring - I can't wait for that to be in!!

9/11 - Added the bubbles/clouds to the purple and put up the slatwall (where the products get displayed on the walls) - it's the white stuff that looks very crazy in the second picture. Next up - need to touch up the paint and work on the trim.

9/10 - Finally an update!! We've been busy but not with any noticeable progress...until today. So here are some updated pictures! It's beginning to look a lot like Fluff Envy!! The third picture is the attempt at the same waves from the website, but I'm really not loving them. They may very well get painted over tomorrow. And that small portion took me over 3 hours and it definitely needs another coat. Not worth it.... The last picture is a sneak peek of the new flooring.

9/5 - Ripped up the carpet and began painting. The first coat of the lighter green is up! And the ugly yellow closet got a coat of white paint too :)

9/4 - Started taping off the walls, then realized that I didn't post any "BEFORE" pics on here yet. So here you go! From left to right: View from where the counter will be. View from the front door (and yes, they pained the inside of a closet an awful yellow). View from the corner opposite the front door. That room will be the kids play area / moms area.

9/1 - Had our first visitor to the store and she helped pick out the colors (thanks Jen!!) So excited to see things start to come together for the "design" of the store. Here's the color palette and I'll be doing some paint shopping in the next couple of days. Still need some things cleared out of the space and then I'll post some "before" pictures. Sorry for the fuzzy picture below but you get the idea. And it's funny how much light can change the colors too....so I guess you'll have to wait until the colors are on the walls to get a really good idea of what it will look like :)

8/31 - It's official!! We are now a brick & mortar store!!!! I signed the lease this afternoon and have keys to our very own store! Once the renovations start, I'll be sure to post pictures here of the progress!
