Among other things, amber is a natural analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-inflammatory. When amber is worn on the skin, the warmth of the skin releases trace amounts of healing oils on the skin.

Our necklaces and bracelets are handcrafted with amber beads imported from the Baltic Region. They are made of authentic Baltic amber, the most esteemed type of amber in the world. The translucency of amber depends on the amount of air bubbles contained within a piece of amber and their distribution. Some believe the color is related to the type of tree source.

Succinic acid is the most beneficial component of the amber. I have read that the darkest colored amber generally contains less succinic acid than lighter colors. I have also read that the more cloudy or opaque amber is, the more succinic acid it contains (and usually the more cloudy amber is the nearer to the color white it becomes).

The string the amber is strung on is designed to stretch when a good amount of pressure is applied, and break if necessary. Each piece of amber is individually double knotted on the strand. The necklace fastens with a screw clasp.

To care for your baltic amber, clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Avoid detergents and cleansers when possible as these substances over time will leave a residue on the amber that inhibits it's ability to release its healing properties into the skin. It is best to remove the jewelry at bath time, or when at the pool.

You can pay more for baltic amber, but you won't find amber that is more effective. We have thousands of satisfied customers and lots of repeat business.

	Awesome for Mamas too!
	I purchased one of these necklaces because I suffered from migraines. Let me just say...WOW!! I haven't had a migraine since I started wearing it. I've also double-wrapped it around my wrist when I've had pain and it takes it away. Truly awesome!

	Cute and functional
	My now 12 month old has been wearing her necklace since she's been about four months old. We've only had to give her tylenol/motrin a few times for teething as opposed to the bottles full that her older sisters got. Though I was skeptical at first that the necklace would help I am now a true believer in amber necklaces!

	Just Try IT!
	Was very skeptical at 1st (im a RN), but for my horrible teether i had tried EVERYTHING else. So a week after i put it on him his runny nose got better, his cough went away, and be no longer cried and cried, and His appetite has remained constant... that was 3 months ago! It was accidentally left off for 2 days and ALL of his symptoms came back, so i think it is the amber. Either way Im NOT taking it off again!
